The beginning of resilience.
At the darkest moments in my life, I did what I had to do to survive: forgive. The strongest, noblest and often the hardest path to take, forgiveness is never about the other person. Rather than blame or hate who wronged me, I chose to see their humanity. I chose to recognize how desperate they must be to hurt someone they love.

To hold onto anger does not serve me. To hold onto judgment does not serve them. Rather than spinning my wheels trying to come up with an explanation as to why it happened, I learned the only way to transform my own life was to relinquish any hope of it having been different. And I opened my heart to accept it HAD happened and now I had some choices to make. #thepullofgrace
