As a Bio-Chemistry/Molecular-Biology major in college, I dreamed of going to medical school and conducting groundbreaking research. {I wanted to save the world!} After my year-long application to Western Africa with the Peace Corps was rescinded one week before graduation, I was left reeling with no direction.

The universe guided me to the classroom where I taught English, Math, French, Physical Science, and ultimately Chemistry for almost 12 years. In keeping with my love of Science, my Masters focused on brain-based teaching and how to retrain your brain through positivity. {I wanted to change the world!}

When I stepped away from teaching 2 years ago, I had no idea what the future had in store. But I knew my words and my experiences needed to be used in a larger classroom. {I wanted to heal the world!} And then, all of a sudden and without premeditation or warning, I find myself first in DC and now in NYC speaking about how the trials and adversities of life can give rise to greater strength and compassion.
